Giggling filled the night air; the cool nights of summer were perfect for evening picnics to a tranquil little hilltop. Chiyo looked at the silvery lilac eyes of her boyfriend and childhood friend, Hyuga Taro. “Is so beautiful,” Chiyo said falling onto her back to stare up at the stars. “I feel so peaceful here,” she closed her eyes. “Its amazing, I love it.”
“Heh, I knew you would like it,” Taro said smugly. “I love it here too, it allows me to escape all my responsibilities and just…relax,” he sighed. Chiyo smiled softly and snuggled into his chest. Taro smiled and wrapped his arm around her waist pulling her closer to him. “The stars remind me of you, Chiyo,” he whispered softly, staring into her black eyes. “The stars reflect beautifully in your eyes, and the moon just makes them glow,” he smiled happily at her. “You are stunningly beautiful in the night,” Taro titled her chin with his bent index finger and gently brushed his lips against hers. “I’m surprised your parents didn’t name you for the night,” he whispered softly. Chiyo blushed cutely, her blushed paled a bit because of the moonlight reflecting on her pale skin. “You are so cute when you blush,” Taro whispered.
“Taro-kun,” she whispered bashfully.
“Its true,” he breathed, nuzzling her nose. “So very beautiful,” he kissed her again. Taro smiled at her.
“Taro?” she whispered softly, brushing his mousy brown hair out of his silver eyes.
“Hmm?” he looked at her gently.
“Is there something on your mind?” Chiyo asked softly.
“Yes,” Taro pulled her closer. “Chiyo…I love you,” he whispered. “I…I…I want to ask you a question,” he looked away.
“Ask then,” she said placing her head under his chin. “Taro?”
“Chiyo…will…will you marry me?” Taro asked. Chiyo sighed closing her eyes, a smile on her lips, but she soon realized what he asked. “What?” he eyes snapped opened and she looked at Taro.
“Will you marry me?”
“What about our fathers? They don’t exactly like the idea that I’m dating you,” Chiyo cupped his face.
“So what?”
“Taro…I…” Chiyo looked away.
“Chiyo?” Taro grabbed her hand.
“Yes,” Chiyo looked at him, smiling brightly. “Yes! I’ll marry you!” Chiyo cried happily. Taro grinned and stood up, pulling Chiyo up as well. They hugged and spun around, before finally kissing.
“Meet me here tomorrow night,” he whispered into her ear.
“I promise,” Chiyo said softly.

Chiyo opened the window as quietly as she could, and slipped into her room just as noiselessly. “What are you doing out so late?” came a voice. Chiyo jumped, spinning around, landing in a fighting crouch, her Sharingan standing out. “Well?” the lights flicked on, and Chiyo canceled her Sharingan and stared at her father.
Standing a head and a half taller than his daughter, he was an imposing sight, especially when he drew himself up to his full height. Chiyo looked away. “I was out scouting,” she muttered.
“Uchiha Chiyo,” Sasuke growled.
“Why do you care anyways, Dad? I’m sixteen!” Chiyo snapped. “You let Akina marry Nara Aki!”
“I happened to like Shikamaru,” Sasuke said.
“Then what do you have against Taro?” Chiyo asked.
“He’s a Hyuga! He’s too good for you! You are my daughter! You are an Uchiha! You are a member of the greatest clan in the history of Konoha! This great clan was almost wiped out thanks to your now dead uncle Itachi!”
“The Hyuga clan is great too!” Chiyo said.
“They have idiotic rules!” Sasuke said.
“The doesn’t mean a damn thing! Taro is sweet! I love him!” Chiyo said.
“I told you, you are forbidden to see that boy!” Sasuke shouted.
“Sasuke? What’s going on?” Sakura asked, coming to join her husband. Her pink hair was disheveled and sticking out at odd angles.
“Nothing, Sakura,” Sasuke growled, glancing briefly at his pink hair wife. “I’m just having a word with my daughter,” Sasuke said sternly. “Go back to bed.”
“Okay,” Sakura kissed him on the cheek, before leaving.
“Why? Why do you forbid me from seeing him?” Chiyo asked.
“I already told you why! He’s a Hyuga! A no good Hyuga! You are not to see him any more!”
“But I love him!” Chiyo shouted.
“So what!” Sasuke shouted, and turned on his heel and stepped into the doorway.
“He asked me to marry him,” Chiyo whispered softly.
“What?” Sasuke looked over his shoulder at his daughter.
“He asked me to marry him,” Chiyo said a bit louder.
“I forbid it!” Sasuke shouted.
“I don’t care! I’m not staying here any more!” Chiyo shouted.
“Where in the hell do you plan on going?” Sasuke turned back to face her.
“I don’t know! I’ll figure out something! I’m a ninja! I work in one of the other ninja villages. Anywhere to get away from you and your stupid rules! Just because Taro is a Hyuga doesn’t mean you should forbid me from marrying him!” Chiyo shouted.
“You leave this house for that boy, then I have no choice but to disown you!”
“I don’t care!” Chiyo glowered at her father. “I know my heart and I know my destiny! And I’m going to follow my heart!”
“I’ve warned you Chiyo,” Sasuke growled.
“And I don’t care Father,” Chiyo said. Sasuke slammed the door shut as he left the room. Chiyo glowered at the door hatefully.

The next night, Chiyo was waiting for Taro on their secret hilltop. Taro ran up the hilltop and smiled at Chiyo only to frown. “What’s with the bag?”
“My father won’t let me marry you, so I’m running away,” Chiyo grabbed his hand. “With you,” she smiled.
“Chiyo,” Taro looked away. “Let me get my things first,” he turned and tugged on her hand. “Come with me,” he said. Chiyo smiled and followed her boyfriend.

They reached Taro’s house and Chiyo hid in the shadows as Taro ran up the wall and jumped through his window. He poked his head out. “Chiyo! Catch!” he shouted, and Chiyo caught his bag, before he followed and jumped down, landing cat like. He took his bag from her and a sweet kiss. “Follow me,” he said. Chiyo smiled and followed him. The two young lovers ran through the night, and left Konoha.

Sakura woke up the next day and headed down to start breakfast. She reached the kitchen and got out the frying pan to fix Sasuke his eggs, when she noticed a headband and a note. Cautiously, she walked over and picked up the piece of paper and read its few lines, her hands shook, as she reread the note, before she cover her mouth, then her hand felt to her throat, and finally rested over her heart. “S-S-S…” She couldn’t get her husband’s name out she was shaking so badly. “SASUKE!”
Sasuke jolted awake, and blinked before he finally throwing on a robe and walking down the stairs.
He found Sakura at the kitchen table, shaking and tears rolling down her eyes. “Sakura?” he asked, concerned.
“She…she…she’s gone,” Sakura whispered, in a tear choked voice.
“Who’s gone?” Sasuke sat down next to her.
“Here,” Sakura handed him the note. Sasuke read it and crumbled it up when he was done. He stood up violently and kicked the chair.
“That brat!” he snarled.
“Sasuke?” Sakura asked.
“She disobeyed me,” he growled.
“Sasuke, what are you talking about? What happened to my Chiyo-chan?” Sakura asked.
“I have no daughter by that name,” Sasuke said coldly and walked away.
